Noella Abba is a Nigerian-born, Glasgow raised multimedia artist. She describes beginning her self taught art journey at age twelve. Noella's mediums of choice are oil paint, 
digital, watercolour, pencil and oil pastels. "I turn my impressionism to expressionism in whimsically esoteric portraits, landscapes and 
slices of life in general."

Focusing on light, captured through an idyllic lens, her work is inspired by an exploration of her Christian upbringing and Catholic traditions carried into adulthood. Deeply influenced by her childhood adoration of Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli films.
Noella has previously exhibited her work at the Drygate Brewery and Stereo. This is her first exhibition in an art gallery.
