David's background is in project management, but he found a hobby in art which quickly turned to a calling. David has studied at the Leith School of Art and has exhibited in several rural galleries in Scotland and shared a stand at the Edinburgh and Scottish Borders Art Fairs.

David's abstract still life work includes objects from his childhood memories and travels, such as Sunday tea with his aunt or objects from his grandma's china cabinet. He has frequent trips to antique shops to find objects that spark these memories. Botanicas also play a big part; much of his abstract art is based on real flowers. 

 The aspiration of his work is for the viewer to find it joyous and uplifting.
