Barry Adamson - 'Sunset Over Jura'

Barry R Adamson is a Scottish artist living in Glasgow. He graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in the seventies and worked for many years as a graphic designer in Edinburgh, Hawick and Glasgow. 

Although Barry always sketched and painted throughout that career, since his retirement he has focused on painting in oils, acrylics and watercolours, and exhibiting. He paints landscapes from Scotland and abroad, using a bright palette and leading the viewer’s eye right into the painting. 

He has recently exhibited paintings at the Society of Scottish Artists shows in Edinburgh, and has sold paintings to collectors in Scotland, Norway and Canada during his career. As well as landscapes, he also paints figures, still life and abstracts.
