Frank Getty is an internationally renowned German artist born in 1967 in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It was during time spent in New York and London that he chose to become a professional full-time artist.

Frank Getty specialises in impasto palette knife paintings, the vibrancy of his palette and strong textural approach give his paintings a particular flair that is completely unique. Getty is described as a powerful force among palette knife artists.

Getty’s technique lends itself equally well to his sailing and coastal scenes which are a firm favourite amongst collectors. The paintings come alive from a distance, with each textural stroke almost abstract when viewing up close, from afar combine to form harmonious compositions.
