Isla Prentice - Kelpies in Blue

Graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 2001 she gained a BA Hons in Art and Design specialising in Architectural Interior design, she then embarked on her career with a major UK housing developer for over 20 years. 

In 2020 she rekindled her love for painting by recycling furniture and has since moved onto traditional oil painting and enjoys experimenting with various other mediums. Her unique style combines traditional techniques with contemporary elements, creating a distinctive blend that is both evocative and modern. Her work is characterised by bold colours, dynamic compositions and a deep sense of place, which invite viewers to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Scotland’s Landscapes.
