Originally from Zimbabwe, Charmaine lived in South Africa until her mid-twenties and then moved to Glasgow, Scotland. She started painting at a very young age, initially taught by her father who enjoyed oil painting and came from an artistic family.

As a self-taught, full-time artist, Charmaine works primarily in oils, with a focus on botanicals and florals. Her work celebrates the elegance, resilience, and vibrancy of the natural world, inviting viewers to pause and reconnect with the quiet beauty that often goes unnoticed.

Each piece evolves into an exploration of colour, light, and emotion. Charmaine is drawn to the way flowers can embody both fragility and strength, softness and boldness – qualities she seeks to capture on canvas. Her paintings are both a personal meditation and expressions of individuality, growth, and presence.

Her work has been shown in London, Mall Galleries, and in exhibitions across the UK and Scotland.
