Bronze - Pea Pod

This clever concept by Keith Sherwin depicts the peas as intended by nature, the effect is to create a scene familiar to the gardener, the whole design being painted by hand to portray the colours of nature. An edition of 295 completes the exclusivity of this striking bronze.

The Pea Pod is made in solid foundry bronze using the ancient method of lost wax casting. The design is finished by the art of patination where various acids are applied to the surface of the bronze and heat applied to create deep rich brown and green patinas.  Then bronze is then sealed with a special wax which further enhances the colour and protects the bronze for years to come.
