Claire graduated with a Fine Art degree in 1996 and has since worked in various educational establishments. 

Throughout her extensive travels, she has gained inspiration from a wide range of cultures and locations, such as Tanzania, Budapest, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Jamaica, Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, Cornwall, rural Herefordshire, the Isle of Skye, and various other beautiful locations in Scotland.

From her studio in Burntisland, Fife, Claire explores the tension between chaos and calm, using luminous hues, glittering highlights, and layered surfaces to evoke hope and wonder. Claire’s work has been exhibited across the UK and is held in private collections around the world.

Claire aims to remind herself and others that even in stormy times, there is light to be found. Like lighthouses guiding us through the dark, my paintings are quiet beacons offering beauty, strength, and space to breathe.
