Angela Ortenzi-MacColl is a Mixed Media artist based in her home town of Irvine, Ayrshire. She is graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, dedicating herself full time to her artistic practice since 2019.

A lifelong appreciation of beautiful textiles and decorative arts inform her collection of design papers, a ‘palette’ of sorts.
Written descriptors of memories, observations, humour and emotional growth inform her subject matters. More often than not, she starts with titles.

Angela is drawn to create bold and narrative led work in which the designs and painting both complement and contrast, while telling the story of the line drawing and mood of the piece. She hopes for the viewer to discover pleasure in flowing lines and intricate details that may go unnoticed at first glance.
