Bronze - Conker (removeable)

This bronze is the largest of the collection and has a removeable conker and lid. The design of the case incorporates a tiny Ladybird resting on the leaf, and has been intricately hand painted to enhance the natural look.  The sculptor is Dean Kendrick and he has designed the bronze In an edition of 95.

The Conker is made in solid foundry bronze using the ancient method of lost wax casting. The design finished by the art of patination where various acids are applied to the surface of the bronze and heat applied to create deep rich brown and green patinas.  The tiny Ladybird is delicately hand painted in artists oils. The bronze is then sealed with a special wax which further enhances the colour and protects the bronze for years to come.
