Born in Glasgow, Heather Nevay graduated from the Glasgow School of Art with BA Hons. in 1988. Her work is exhibited extensively in many distinguished Galleries and Institutes.
Her imagery comes from a complex personal mythology, unsentimental images of childhood, uncomfortable and frightening to look at. Her figures are symbolic of heroism, fear and weakness. Heather is trying to remind us that childhood is a frightening experience and it lays the foundations for our journey into adulthood.
