Chris DeRubeis paints on metal, mixing pigments and chemicals. He uses power tools and natural elements such as fire, water and freezing techniques thus calling his art 'abstract sensualism" in reference to the organic nature of his paintings. The art world initially reacted to his unique style with uncertainty, but it did not take long before his innovative style and techniques were embraced.

Earning the MUSE Award in 'New Movement' at the age of 27, his artwork has appeared on the American DIY and HGTV networks. DeRubeis opened his own signature Gallery in Key West, Florida, his artwork is very much sought after and is sold in galleries throughout the world.
