John O'Flaherty Lynch - 'The Calm Forest'

John O’Flaherty-Lynch was born in Derry City in 1979 and now resides in Belfast. He holds a BA (Hons) and a PGCE in Education, both from Ulster University.

With over 20 years of experience teaching Art and Design in schools across Northern Ireland and London, John remains deeply passionate about education. He currently teaches at an Integrated school.

O'Flaherty - Lynch has been coming to Glasgow for almost 15 years to visit friends in Dennistoun or accompanying his Art students to university open days.
His artistic practice is heavily inspired by the natural world.O'Flaherty - Lynch’s work is best described as contemporary abstract art, characterised by bold, vibrant colours and rich textures. Unafraid of expressive mark-making, his energetic technique is a defining feature of his visual language.
