 Frank Getty is a Mecklenburg born German artist who has developed a total mastery of the palette knife and a distinct expression of an impasto style. He mostly paints large, sweeping urban murals with some of the world's most distinct cities being recreated in incredible detail.

Getty's work is moody and emotive, complex without being at all verbose or inaccessible. The vibrancy of his foreground subjects against the realistic, muted colours of the cityscape backgrounds makes his work absolutely jump from the canvas.
