An artist member of the RGI and Paisley Art Institute, David trained at the Glasgow School of Art and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art. Over the years, working mainly on private commissions - David has now made his work more accessible to the public.
Since retiring from teaching, David's keen interest in the surviving fishing fleet at Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife has provided the subject matter for many of his paintings. More recently, he has enjoyed producing a series of works of the well-known and not so well-known landmarks of Glasgow, the city where he spent many a year honing his artistic skills.
