Ladislaus Rath Berger, known in the art world simply as R. Berger, was born in Hungary in 1947. Berger studied at the Budapest Academy of Fine Art under some prolific professors before moving on to start his own illustrious career. He has exhibited his masterful baroque style the world over and continues to be prolific to this day.

Berger's Still Life pieces are just sublime to witness in person, the amount of detail and realism packed in to such small and intricate paintings is quite astounding. The subjects, though often mundane, are given new life and extravagance by Berger's painstaking recreation of them in a new form.
